Brazil 2008                            AEC-TEAh

In 2008, Alacridad will take a team of volunteers to Brazil to set up a computer lab and to do teacher training for AEC-TEA, a community-based nonprofit located in Capim Grosso, Brazil.  The Tarcilla Evangelista de Andrade Educational-Cultural Association (AEC-TEA) named after Capim Grosso's first teacher was founded by local students and teachers to increase access to higher education and to encourage volunteer work as a means to improve the quality of life in their community.

Alacridad’s partnership with AEC-TEA will strengthen their educational programs and bring new computing resources to the community.  In addion to conducting teacher training workshops, Alacridad will work with community members to make the most of the new computer lab.
